Multi-Purpose Meeting Spaces

Tupperware Brands Corp.

The Hamer Wilson Board Room

Named in honor of past Tupperware President, Hamer Wilson, the Hamer Wilson Conference Center and adjacent Board Room are arguably the most actively used spaces within the Tupperware Headquarters Building. Events held in these spaces range from executive board meetings, to Sales Force Member training sessions, to catered receptions with outside community groups. For many years, the two spaces have remained separated by an acoustic wall. In response to the need for larger, more flexible meeting spaces on campus, the stationary wall separating the two spaces was replaced with a custom demountable acoustic wall, providing the ability to combine the spaces for larger groups and custom setups.

In keeping with Durell Stone’s signature use of luxurious materials, and the types of events to be held here, these spaces required an executive level of finish and furnishings.

Leather and wood finishes were used on walls and furniture throughout the spaces, including the panels on the custom demountable wall. Details such as embroidered and engraved logos on the backs of chairs, and artwork inspired by Tupperware product colors, elegantly and subtly reinforce brand identity.

In each space, a recessed acoustical tile tray ceiling accommodates a retractable projector and varying lighting levels which can be controlled via tablet. The A/V and lighting control system allows each room to operate either independently or together. The bank of windows overlooking the building’s central plaza provide ample daylight, which is mitigated for presentations by remote-controlled 95% solar shades.  Presentation controls were programmed to be “executive simple”, yet support a wide variety of media for in-person and remote/teleconference meetings. Furnishings were selected not only for their classic shapes and elegant details, but also for their connectivity and cable management features. Mobile, powered training tables and podiums, caster chairs, wireless microphones and in-ceiling speakers allow the spaces to transform easily into a wide variety of room configurations.
